 The information packet for the MSBOA XVI High School Honors Band is available through the link below.  Please complete all forms and return by the included date.

 HONORS BAND PACKET  

 From High School Honors Band Chairperson

Dear Directors,

Thank you for participating in the annual MSBOA District XVI High School Honor Bands. Our guest conductors this year will be Mr. Michael Kaufman (retired Grand Ledge band director) for the 9/10 group and Dr. Robert Spradling (Western Michigan University) for the 11/12 group. Attached you will find several forms to nominate your students for this honor. Please carefully follow the directions on each form.

Each director in MSBOA District XVI is allowed to nominate ten students from grades 9 & 10 and ten students from grades 11 & 12. Each director will have their first nominated student accepted for each band. Every director nominating students for the group will have their school represented in the honors band. Junior High directors may nominate 9th grade students.

Every student nominated for the honors bands must complete and sign the “STUDENT APPLICATION” form. Students nominated that have not completed and signed the student application form will not be considered for the ensembles.

Honor band student rosters will be posted on the MSBOA District XVI website no later than Friday, March 2, 2012. Students and directors will not receive a mailing, so please check the website www.msboaxvi.net

All rehearsals and the Tuesday evening concert will be held at Dakota High School. (21051 21 Mile Rd, Macomb, MI 48044)

Director nomination forms, student application forms, and director volunteer forms must be postmarked by Friday, February 10 via registered or certified mail to:

S&E WORKERS

All workers must report BY 7:30 AM on assigned days.  If you have a qualified substitute working for you, the Vice President must be notified in advance.
